An occasion for joy and unity, Diwali is one of the most beloved festive occasions in the Hindu calendar. Crossing religious and political barriers, Diwali is celebrated around the world. Communities come together to enjoy food, fun and fireworks. It’s a time to reflect and embrace one another despite our differences.
A time to celebrate
The Indian Association of Cardinia and Casey (IACC) supported by the Cardinia Shire Council, will once again be celebrating the Festival of Lights. And this year promises to be bigger and better than ever before.
The flavours and festivities of the event will be on full display Saturday November 10 at Gumbaya World, Tynong, with a vibrant program in store for attendees.
The evening will include music, dance performances, craft and traditional henna art. There will be also be market stalls and delicious Indian cuisine for all to enjoy, as well as access to the amusement rides of Gumbaya World.
And of course, Diwali celebrations wouldn’t be complete without a grand finale. A spectacular laser lightshow accompanied by traditional Indian drums will close out the evening.
We’d highly recommend residents of St. Germain and the wider Clyde area discover the wonder of Diwali. If you’d like more information about the event or to secure your tickets, visit the IACC event page.
