WHAT’S ON: SUMMER IN THE SOUTHEAST

Summer in Melbourne's Southeast

Enjoy summer in Melbourne’s Southeast. With plenty on around Clyde North, make the most of those sunny days and balmy nights, with our guide to the best ways to spend your summer days.

Summer Cinema at Bunjil Place

Throughout January, Bunjil Place will host their Summer Cinema in the Plaza. Enjoy family favourites and international films on the big screen outside. Tickets start at $5 and can be purchased here.

Beach Days

St.Germain is a hop, skip and jump from some of Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula’s best beaches. Make your way down the bay, and explore and enjoy the calm waters of Seaford, Mornington or Mount Martha, or venture further down the peninsula to the rough and rugged shorelines of the back beaches.

Wilson’s Botanic Park

Gather friends and family, and break out the picnic rug for a day out at Wilson Botanic Park. A local favourite for over 30 years, Wilson Botanic Park has over 1000 different plant species and over 80 species of birds, across the 39 hectares of parkland.

For more information, including park opening times, check out their website here: https://www.casey.vic.gov.au/facilities-hire/wilson-botanic-park-berwick

Dandenong Ranges

Escape the hustle and bustle of the city with a day trip up to the quaint villages of the Dandenong Ranges. Enjoy tea and scones at one of the famed tearooms, take in the stunning views of Melbourne from Mount Dandenong lookout or jump on the famous Puffing Billy Railway for a ride through picturesque native forest.
